Calculate hourly wage by dividing total earnings by hours worked. Use this calculator to compare job offers, track earnings, and calculate your effective hourly rate.
The hourly wage calculator uses this formula:
Hourly Wage = Total Earnings ÷ Hours Worked
For example, if you earned $800 working 40 hours, your hourly wage is $20 per hour.
| Full-time (40 hrs) | $800 ÷ 40 = $20.00/hr |
| Part-time (20 hrs) | $300 ÷ 20 = $15.00/hr |
| Freelance Project | $1,500 ÷ 30 = $50.00/hr |
| Weekly Salary | $1,000 ÷ 40 = $25.00/hr |
| With Overtime | $960 ÷ 45 = $21.33/hr |
To convert annual salary to hourly wage:
Hourly Wage = Annual Salary ÷ 2,080 hours
(Based on 52 weeks × 40 hours/week = 2,080 hours per year)
